The Schools for Community or S4C project is an initiative that strives to improve the learning experience for disadvantaged and marginalized children.
By partnering with the local community, the program aims to establish a child friendly school and develop it into learning hub where development initiatives can be launched to empower the local community. The following are components of the S4C project:
• Establish a school farm through drip irrigation systems to improve on nutritional content of the school meals.
• Installation of water harvesting systems/tanks and storage units which will improve access to water supply in the school thus promote hygiene standards and establish school gardens.

• Implement school health promotion interventions through rolling out of sensitization sessions in schools (with community) on proper nutrition, hygiene, hand washing and soap making.

• Implement an Environmental Education programme in the school- initiating programs that will inform the next generation on the importance of the environment, sustainability and the 3RS of waste management.
