Permaculture Garden and Rainwater Catchment Installation

November 15, 2017

We have recently designed a rainwater catchment system to catch all of the rain water off of the upper school roof into three cisterns and then pump that water into the garden spot. Our goals are to not only install a rainwater catchment system with over 9000 gallons of rain water stored in cisterns....but to also install a Permaculture Garden. This is a garden that will have plant guilds, an orchard with understory, a sesory section, and ecological system mimicry. All of this will be based off Permaculture concepts of Caring For The Earth to promote Fair Share of Produce, in order to Care for the student body and its neighboring community

Intended impact of project
