Outdoor Classroom
Join us and build an outdoor classroom; build and install solar trackers (solar panels, framing and battery storage), cold frame vegetation and hydroponic growing systems. With a thoughtful design in place, the school will utilize the outdoor classroom to teach with outdoor resources, understanding how to capture the sun's energy and making adjustments to the solar trackers; grow vegetation with a longer growing season, conducting experiments with control and experiment test groups during fall and spring semesters. The hydroponic growing systems will also allow for rapid growth of indoor crops. With the school's curriculum and resources expanded, we have a true STEM project and looking for volunteers to help!

The school will be able to incorporate the solar generators, coldframes, hoop houses, and hydroponics as part of their school curriculum. By conducting experiments, students will be able to have control and test case scenarios and can learn how adjustments to the experiment impact results.
