A school-wide assembly will be held to educate students about the lifespan of everyday products when they are put in a landfill as opposed to reducing, reusing, repairing, or recycling the items. Each of the 12 classrooms will have an item and learn how long or if it 'goes away' in landfill, as well as the alternative solution. Items will then be placed on a timeline. Members of the student council will be assisted in the presentation by USGBC NY Upstate Director, Tracie Hall.
