Last year's project was to find energy use data and implement change. However, the data sourcing phase was much larger than expected. We were able to measure the school, find gas and electricity use data, and began to inform the school of this info. If we can continue to develop this project, we would like to develop ways to change the energy use of the school and to change the behavior of our community. The primary ways we will do this is by community education to reduce energy waste, by making small changes in the building (weather stripping, etc.), and by pressing the district (who controls our thermostat) to fix wasteful practices.

I'm also still open to other project ideas based on conversations to be had with our students and our mentor.
